I doubt it. Pop and hissing are caused by scratches in the vinyl and worn vinyl assuming you have a good cartridge and needle. Poor grounds or ground loops cause hum. Funny how most kids today have no conception of any of this. Like the vacumn tube it is a thing of the past!
