You can also do this using the Google "SITE" keyword.
"site:lists.netisland.net apt-get" gives you
http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Alists.netisland.net+apt-get
I'm not sure if you can do multiple sites or if you can limit it to a
particular directory, though. Also, someone created a searchable PLUG
archive, but I can't recall who or where.
