[PLUG] [OT] Calling on the power of PHL for perl development pos'n

Hello perlmongers,

I got the axe this morning. Laid off; position eliminated.
The company missed its profits goal last year, and missed it by
a lot, and the shareholders needed a sacrifice to quench their
thirst for blood. This will do nothing except hasten the loss
of their biggest client, but hey: I don't run the company.

ANYHOW, not to belabor the point. I am calling on the power
of PHL to see if anyone can give me pointers to a development
positions. THIS time, for a change, I'd really like it if I can
find a position in a company that's not teetering on the brink,
and in need of a miracle worker to salvage their house-of-cards
codebase. I would much rather work for a healthy company that
has actual development practices, if you can imagine. Not that
I'm being super-picky; I just want a job that's going to be around
for more than, say, a year.

So. If you, or anyone you know, know of any serious, senior-
level Perl/linux development opportunities (oh, and I'm more than
handy with Oracle and other RDBMSs), I would appreciate any help
you can give.

My current resume is (or shortly will be) up at
http://mywebpages.comcast.net/sdn/resume/ For those of you who
don't know me, I have given a few talks on moderate-to-advanced
topics before the PHL.pm and the Philly Linux UG. I think (hope!)
that people in the phl.pm would have nice things to say about me
and my mad perl skillz, and would give me positive recommendations.
:-)

All in all, many thanks in advance. I appreciate it, folks.

Yours,
Eric Roode
