Hardly.  You won't get arrested for looking for an IT job (at least in
the US, yet).  The potential employer is not likely to physically maim,
possibly kill you.

And though you may land a creepy employer, you can quit.  A streetwalker
who goes from one creepy employer to the next lives the hopeless truth
that all employers are creepy.
