Qualifications *Applicable work experience or college level course work *Strong skills in a Windows desktop environment including Office and other user software *Familiarity with some Linux distribution *Capable of working in a highly dynamic environment *High level of self motivation *User support experience preferred Position description This internship will include a broad range of IT related tasks including server systems administration, network administration, end user support, and the development of new services. MCA Solutions is a company of only 60 people, however due to the nature of the software development being done; there is an extremely high level of IT demand. New services are constantly being implemented with a focus on open source technologies. Your time will be split between helping end users with currently implemented systems, troubleshooting server and network issues, and implementing new services. Since we have a focus on open source technologies, familiarity with Linux and other open source software is a big plus. This is a paid internship, however hourly rate will be based on skill and experience level. The work week is generally 9-5 with the occasional night or weekend. There is also a possibility of continued part time work during the following school year.
