that's what it looks like to me.  for example, if you do apt-get
upgrade, it will probably refuse to upgrade gnome-core unless you
dist-upgrade or specifically install it like you do below.

the libraries listed here all have new versions listed in the "extra
packages will be installed".  as is typical with the new library
packages, they conflict with the old.

gnome meeting depends on a bunch of libraries, and my guess is that

apt-cache rdepends librarypackage

will include gnomemeeting in its output for at least one of the library
packages above.  gnome desktop environmemnt probably depends on
gnomemeeting.
