[PLUG] xpdf, -geometry, and XResources

I want xpdf to open with a large window. I can make this happen by
specifying

    xpdf -geometry 1150x1500 file.pdf

But sometimes other entities launch xpdf for me, and I'd like to
configure this once. Given that xpdf recognizes -geometry, a
reasonable thought appears to be a line in .Xdefaults, but neither of
the following works:

    xpdf*geometry: 1150x1500
    xpdf.geometry: 1150x1500

(So then "xpdf file.pdf" should open at 1150x1500. But it doesn't.)

Anyone see what I'm missing?
