[PLUG] Changing DSL setup

My current setup:
DSL line -> DSL Modem -> eth0 on Kubuntu machine running rp-pppoe with IP
forwarding/masq set -> peers on LAN/Samba
using /etc/hosts for resolution
LAN set to use 192.168.0.[1-4] on eth1

What I want to do:
Replace DSL modem with Actiontec Gateway 704-wg.  This is a combo DSL modem /
router (wireless and ethernet) /ethernet hub*.
The address for the gateway is 192.168.1.1

What is the most simple way to change the setup?  Do I need to run rp-pppoe's
adsl-setup, entering the new info and getting rid of IP forwarding?

*Interestingly, Verizon (who sent me the gateway) denies that the unit acts as
a hub (I suppose they just don't want to support that function).  Actiontec
instructs how to enter LAN addresses, but does not list the ethernet hub
function as a feature.  Why is this such a secret?
