Every time I tried, the installer would kill my network interface, then I couldn't install the missing packages I needed to make the install work. I had to reboot (it seemed easiest) each time it failed. Maybe if I just installed GLX and changed "nv" to "nvidia" in xorg.conf I could have avoided the trouble with the driver. Really, I wish I had just fixed the upgraded install instead of doing a fresh install. Highly likely it was only a driver/kernel issue. I don't understand the resolution/refresh rate settings. At highest resolution, refresh rate is locked at 60Hz. (That part makes sense.) At the next lower resolution the refresh rate is locked at 85Hz. Why can't I select a refresh rate below 85Hz? Annoying. Now everything is running smooth. ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
