What I meant to say was
That seems to do it except that one of the mac mail tests is "sender is not a 
previous recipient"[.  That test is not available when] using kmail.

As the sender is always unique, I was trying to figure out a way -- if 
possible with kmail -- to test if the sender had sent to me before.
