only time backlight turned on so far was when I cover the sensors with my hands or last night when I turned off the light. Not sure why the keys would be harder to read with the light on. The letters are transparent so it's almost unnoticable in daylight. I plan to test battery next. I wanted to let them get a chance to charge for a while. ----- Original Message ----- From: TuskenTower <tuskentower@gmail.com> To: Philadelphia Linux User's Group Discussion List <plug@lists.phillylinux.org> Sent: Saturday, November 4, 2006 12:11:26 PM GMT-0500 Subject: Re: [PLUG] First 24 hours with MacBook Pro (Core 2 Duo) On 11/4/06, W. I don't know if your laptop is better at sensing light or not, but you may notice the backlight turing on occasionally which makes the keys harder to read. > Gnome or KDE environment running on X11, I may forgo installing Linux all > together. If you don't mind plunking down the $80 for Parallels Desktop for Mac you can get your Linux lovin sans the dual boot annoyances (and give us a review :). > Overall, a pretty nice experience so far.
