rsync(1) and lock down the ports with IPTables? There is WinRsync (
http://winrsync.sunsite.dk/#download) if you need something
'user friendly'.

I'll throw my $0.02, adjusted for inflation behind rsync as well..

Just the other day I used rsync -avz /path/to/files
root@otherbox:/other/path to move about 7gb of files.
