This is the road that we have _been_ on since electrification. Until the seventies, your choice for telephone was AT&T (unless you lived in one of those remote areas served by a mom & pop carrier -- Parkesburg, PA had one; you only had to dial 4 digits if you were calling Parkesburg to Parkesburg). Until "electricity choice" became law in PA a few years ago, your choice was PECO or a generator in this area. Competition is good. I was astounded by the price of a 1973 long distance call -- in 1973 dollars. But monopolies don't welcome it without public outcry, a ready willing and able competitor standing waiting, and a government ready to listen to the former's votes and the latter's money. -- _____________________________________________________________ Art Alexion PGP fingerprint: 52A4 B10C AA73 096F A661 92D2 3B65 8EAC ACC5 BA7A Keyserver: hkp://subkeys.pgp.net The attachment - signature.asc - is my electronic signature; no need for alarm.
