[PLUG] it's X11 time

I was so happy about WPA working that I nearly overlooked the display.
I have a Dell Latitude D820 laptop with 1280x800 resolution in Windows. Feisty detected 1024x768 and won't budge. Things look weird.

Feisty detected the 945(i810?) chipset and a generic monitor, but had H+V values filled in.

I've tried dpkg-reconfigure, messing with config files, I've looked for any specs on the display itself (Dell's website is borderline useless on a good day, per their own employees), and no amount of jiggering will convince the display to go up a notch. Online searches kept referring me back to dpkg-reconfigure.

Suggestions appreciated.
