I set up my laptop to use a smarthost for exim4 using dpkg-reconfigure exim4-config. (For expert dpkg-reconfigure exim4-config users, that's option 2: send with smarthost and local mail delivery via fetchmail, etc.) I'm having trouble getting it to recognize that local mail should actually be delivered. Usually Debian's handling of common exim4 configs is pretty flawless, so I'm suspicious of doing anything too major right away. Any suggestions on what I might have missed? aardvark:/var/log/exim4# exim4 -bt jeff R: smarthost for jeff@aardvark.purple.com jeff@aardvark.purple.com router = smarthost, transport = remote_smtp_smarthost host MY.SMARTHOST [X.Y.Z.W] aardvark:/var/log/exim4# aardvark:/var/log/exim4# exim4 -bt jeff@localhost R: system_aliases for jeff@localhost R: userforward for jeff@localhost R: smarthost for jeff@purple.com jeff@purple.com <-- jeff@localhost router = smarthost, transport = remote_smtp_smarthost host MY.SMARTHOST [X.Y.Z.W] aardvark:/var/log/exim4# -- Jeff Jeff Abrahamson <http://jeff.purple.com/> +1 215/837-2287 After 6/2007: +33 06 21.83.26.20 (From U.S.: 011-33-6-2183-2620) GPG fingerprint: 1A1A BA95 D082 A558 A276 63C6 16BF 8C4C 0D1D AE4B Attachment:
