-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 For your non-windows solution I would recommend pushing Ubuntu. It's free, tell them to try it, if they don't like it, they can buy a license for Vista. Ubuntu has a lot of advantages for new users, one of the biggest being that there is the Pennsylvania Local Community Team (http://www.meetlinux.com) providing free community support all over Pennsylvania, plus Ubuntu Forums have a wealth of information. Don't worry so much about interface change, that's really not as drastic as some other things can be, it's not like going from Windows to command line, the principals are the same, you might try KDE if you want the "start button" effect, but I think a lot of new users will prefer the elegant simplicity of gnome (please no flame war). My vote goes for Ubuntu. - -- Alex Launi ########################################### /"\ \ / ASCII Ribbon Campaign X Keep e-mail free of HTML and vCards / \ Please do not sent me .doc attachments ########################################### -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFGkv7lv2fpCm3KbxcRAn1rAJ484+mdaGHF4hsp+EfgMzZ8oGP/jACffwRW DPp2ZjLrvPRTMLkQZKLR4Mk= =plgh -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
