We use NetApps for some of our systems including Lotus Notes, Oracle Databases, Oracle Applications. Some storage is nfsed or cifsed, some is direct attached via fiber. We tried iscsi a couple of years ago and found it to be not as reliable, but I would bet it could be tweaked to work just as well.
