He's discussing Digital vs Analog cable not Over-the-Air HD. You're link applies to OTA not cable...

Yeah, we're getting off topic. I know that at some nebulous time in a couple/few years I'll have to deal with the switch from analog to digital/HD TV sets. I don't care. I'll worry about that whenever the time finally comes (kinda like IPv6 :).

What I need to know is:

1) Can I use the HDHomeRun with my old analog Comcast setup?

2) Can MythTV feed a 10 year old non-HD TV with only coax and RCA inputs? If so, how does that work?

3) Any thoughts on a TiVo Series 1 (and _TiVo Hacks_ :) instead?

Any other thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks,
JP

Microsoft has single-handedly nullified Moore's Law.
Innate design flaws of Windows make a personal firewall, anti-virus
and anti-malware software mandatory. The resulting software arms race
has effectively flattened Moore's Law on hardware running Windows.
