KDE 4 is scheduled for release on December 11, see: http://techbase.kde.org/Schedules/KDE4/4.0_Release_Schedule. Qt 4 and many of the new KDE 4 frameworks allow KDE 4 applications to run on Windows and Mac without any code changes.
