Re: [PLUG] linux question... (apache) (virtual hosts)

How about https?
Multiple stores were a common reason for ip addresses at my old job and unless something has changed, would still be a valid reason.

Any chance I can do this without a mod rewrite? At the moment I am only

Why?

No, really. The point of vhosts is precisely that you do NOT need
to waste number space for logically separated (in name space) we
servers.

I confess I can't think of a single good reason to use multiple IP
addresses on the same host all for Apache.

(The only legitimate reasons for multiple IP addresses on a single
host I can think of are: a firewall/gateway/NAT/etc system routing
between subnets; an application that needs to be multi-homed for
redundancy; a VIP for clustering; a security application to perform
passive scanning / honeypot / so forth. I honestly don't think any
other exist.)
