they're VERY similar, but different in philosophy.
in LTSP, there is a server and X number of clients that run as if they're "on" the server.
in clustering, there are X boxes that all act as if they're "tied"
together into one bigger machine. think of it as RAID for whole
computers (this is a terribly simplified view, but it suffices for
explanation)
there are even different types of clustering! there's gridding (which i believe is a bit like raid 5), speed/performance clustering (raid 0), and high-availability/fallback clustering (raid 1)
it's a really cool thing once you start thinking about it. the mind boggles.
