I just broke the 10/100 USB device I use to connect my laptop to a wired broadband router/modem. Being low on cash, I am considering the following strategies to regain at-will connectivity a week from today:
(1) Given that my wireless card is okay, but can't reach the street, I could shell out $42.79 (figures in sales tax) for a Belkin F5D7230-4 (allegedly available within the reach of SEPTA). If there's a "Don't do
it!" implied in that approach, let me know.
(2) Shell out $42.09 for a wired Dynex DX-E201. I've had luck with their wireless card, which turned out to be Atheros-powered.
If there's an even more cost-effective approach to getting back at full
strength in a day, clue me in.
Thanks in advance,
