Redhat et al use /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/* and /etc/sysconfig/network (a file, not a directory) for gateway. OpenSuSE 10.x at least use /etc/sysconfig/network/* (directory) for all. That is manually, I don't know nor care about YaST. Although YaST sets things up in that directory when you type it in during the installation. Dan W.
