No go. I cleared the apt-proxy, and tried again with the same results. It turns out this package is coming from http://ppa.launchpad.net which was present in sources.list from the start of the clean install I did of the beta Gutsy. I have no idea what it is, and haven't proxied it...

At this point, I'll poke around looking for bug reports when I get some time, but will otherwise give up unless anyone has any other ideas. Presumably at some point either the package or the index will Get Fixed...

Thanks,

Microsoft has single-handedly nullified Moore's Law.
Innate design flaws of Windows make a personal firewall, anti-virus
and anti-malware software mandatory. The resulting software arms race
has effectively flattened Moore's Law on hardware running Windows.
