Re: [PLUG] Gutsy

I'm running Dapper at home and it is getting... old. I am running Gutsy at work and it was stable at Tribe 4 (pre-beta).

I know I have to upgrade to edgy before feisty, etc., but if I upgrade Dapper -> Edgy, can I then upgrade Edgy -> Gutsy, or do I have to Dapper -> Edgy -> Feisty -> Gutsy?

I'm in the same boat on a couple of machines. Notwithstanding Brent's good advice, I'm just going to wait until April-ish 2008 for Hardy Heron LTS. It's my understanding that LTS --> LTS "jumps" like Dapper --> Hardy will be supported. I'll also go out on a limb and guess that they will be *well* supported and tested, else anyone using or looking at corporate use of LTS releases will be annoyed.

Microsoft has single-handedly nullified Moore's Law.
Innate design flaws of Windows make a personal firewall, anti-virus
and anti-malware software mandatory. The resulting software arms race
has effectively flattened Moore's Law on hardware running Windows.
