OHHHH! you mean if you can do an install from an ISO image?... i was a bit unclear on that.

off the top of my head, it's not easy if possible at all to do an install without burning a disc.
it's possible to do an FC7 install from another linux installation (you would need to chroot into it

OOPS. wait, i finally got what you're asking. to answer your question, the LiveCD has taken the place of the installation CD (they're a bit un-fun to use- they're rather slow compared to other liveCD's) and you can (and pretty much have to) do the install from the liveCD. when you boot up the fedora liveCD, there should be an icon on the desktop you can click to start a gui installation process.

at some point,  i hope to switch from being
wintel server/cisco/network guy
to a linux guy.
from time to time, i test stuff like scripts,
group policies, security, etc on w2k3

i know the dual boot howto. thanks though

tight budget

no dvd-r/w
it seems that traditional cd isos are unavailable.
{{can you run an install from a live cd? (fc7)}}

limited memory-> no vm at this point
will do later

thanks,

ron
