[PLUG] Verizon's customer service?

Questions for those in and around Lansdowne, PA regarding Verizon:
(1) How do they rate in terms of data network uptime?
(2) Could they use a minor Linux operative in getting people hooked up?
(3) Are the CSRs largely taking the heat for decisions made outside 
their pay grade, for which they've neither the authority nor means to fix?
(4) Would seeking a position with them be a deal with the devil? 
(Redundant, no?)
