Nokia N819 internet tablet

my cousin just told me about them.

here's a snippet from our conversation about them (screennames removed)

him (1108:59): we are rdping into our windows servers from it
me (1109:05): aw man, they look bitchin'!
him (1109:06): tunneling X apps onto it
him (1109:20): doing video phone coversations though our jabber server
me (1109:23): so *nix backend then i'm guessing?
him (1109:36): answering calls going to our extension though our sip server
him (1109:37): yep
me (1112:02): so you can use it like a sip phone too?
him (1112:21): well no
him (1112:37): but you can sync it to your blue tooth cell phone
him (1112:45): we have an asterisk server here at work
him (1113:01): and we already have an 802.11 phone network
him (1113:11): and those things speak 802.11
him (1113:21): and the sip protocol that asterisk uses
me (1113:31): ohh okay. so as long as you're within AP range, they can be used as SIPs
him (1113:31): so it works just like our 802.11 phones
him (1113:34): right
him (1113:58): or you can connect to your cellphone though bluetooth and make cell calls with it.

personally, they look fun as hell to play with and hack around with.

Bill Gates is to hacking as Sid Vicious was to the Sex Pistols: no talent, everyone hates him, and he's just in it for the fame and money.
