I was actually shocked how well some SIP softphones work in PDA phones. When I vacation overseas, I use a SIP softphone on my Cingular cell phone thats runs windows mobile to call home. Finding wifi is easy, and the call quality aint bad. $0.02 a minute sure beats roaming at $2.00 a minute. I was thinking about using the ipod touch as a SIP phone - it has wifi and a speaker, but I dont think it has a mic - maybe bluetooth could resolve that. -John ---------------------------------------------------- >From : Brent Saner <brent.saner@gmail.com> To : Philadelphia Linux User's Group Discussion List <plug@lists.phillylinux.org> Subject : Re: [PLUG] one of the best things i've seen from nokia in a long time Date : Tue, 27 Nov 2007 12:46:11 -0500 > yeah, this doesn't have vanilla phone either but like my cousin mentioned, > it's easily hacked into a SIP if you have an asterisk server > > On Nov 27, 2007 12:42 PM, Paul W.
