I use a Sierra Wireless U720 from Sprint with Ubuntu without issue. We pay $49.95/month for unlimited use. It's USB and the only issue is initial activation. You will need a friend with a Windows PC to initially activate it. However, activation information is stored in NVRAM so once activated it's just a matter of setting up a PPP connection over the appropriate dev node dialing #777 with blank user-name and password. - -- Michael Greb Linode.com, LLC -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.7 (Darwin) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFHUFlf0Qbp4bPZvesRAiBAAKCC2UMwcNdgfMEbrqevLIYk2oC7FQCfWdZB 3wPkblXhDcWEYC0Ei2mqzQA= =DsuD -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
