I want to put a word in the modeline of emacs (22.1.1). But how do I get it there once I know what it is? This is not as simple as it sounds. I spent time reading the code that puts the time, date, mode, etc. in the mode line. I don't see the part where it actually does it. (display-in-modeline-does-not-exist at-column word) Thanks for any pointers. -- Jeff Jeff Abrahamson <http://jeff.purple.com/> phone: UK: +44 (0)791 267 0925 (From U.S.: 011-44-791-267-0925) France: +33 (0)6 21.83.26.20 (From U.S.: 011-33-6-2183-2620) GPG fingerprint: 1A1A BA95 D082 A558 A276 63C6 16BF 8C4C 0D1D AE4B Attachment:
