Why? What is the problem with running them at their rated speeds?

Well, if it really gets to be a problem, why not just buy a commercial

make more sense for you to just buy something, and let the other
company worry about the tech support, etc.

I would think that solving the problem (i.e., I need a PBX) to be of
more important consideration than the specifics of any one solution,
open source or not.
