Re: [PLUG] Developer-to-staff ratio?

This is going to vary wildy from company to company and industry to industry. (You'll clearly see a different ratio in a software company than in a fast food chain for instance.) If your need is specific to a particular company, it would be useful to know some general information about the company itself. The numbers you end up with in that case would be a lot more accurate.

Subject: [PLUG] Developer-to-staff ratio?

I need to come up with some numbers on "typical" industry
"developer-to-other_staff" ratios. I understand that there really is no
such thing as "typical," but someone has to have some kind of metrics I
can adapt. I will Google and Wikipedia, and so-forth, but does anyone
have any pointers for me?

Thanks,
JP

"Microsoft Tax" = the additional hardware & yearly fees for the add-on
software required to protect Windows from its own poorly designed and
implemented self, while the overhead incidentally flattens Moore's Law.
