This is going to vary wildy from company to company and industry to industry. (You'll clearly see a different ratio in a software company than in a fast food chain for instance.) If your need is specific to a particular company, it would be useful to know some general information about the company itself. The numbers you end up with in that case would be a lot more accurate. ----- Original Message ---- From: JP Vossen <jp@jpsdomain.org> To: plug@lists.phillylinux.org Sent: Tuesday, September 30, 2008 2:56:42 PM Subject: [PLUG] Developer-to-staff ratio? I need to come up with some numbers on "typical" industry "developer-to-other_staff" ratios. I understand that there really is no such thing as "typical," but someone has to have some kind of metrics I can adapt. I will Google and Wikipedia, and so-forth, but does anyone have any pointers for me?
