The next PLUG West meeting will be held on Monday, October 20
at Unisys in Malvern, starting at 7:00 pm. This month,
JP Vossen will compare bash (the Bourne Again Shell) and
dash (the Debian Almquist Shell). Since dash became Ubuntu's
default /bin/sh implementation, understanding the differences
between these shells is important when writing and
	troubleshooting portable scripts.

JP is co-author of the O'Reilly "bash Cookbook":
