I use a recent Dell Latitude D630N w/4GB RAM, Core 2 Duo @ 2.6GHz and
the extended 9-hour battery and its pretty friggin' awesome. Get the
good screen with it, too. I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 on it and its a
dream; battery life is really awesome (though not 9 hours) and it
screams through compilations, test suites, MySQL pounding, etc.
