The next PANTUG meeting will be this Wednesday February 11, 2009 in King
of Prussia, PA.

The tentative agenda is as follows:

6:30 - 7:00 PM  Arrival, informal discussions/round-table
7:00 - 8:00 PM  Presentation and/or discussion
8:00 - 8:30 PM  Overflow, general
8:30 - ?:?? PM  Dinner at a local restaurant

Meetings are informal, and no membership is required--just show up.


This week Kevin McAllister, VP of Engineering for Coredial

Voice over IP (VoIP)

1. A brief overview of VoIP technology, including SIP/RTP.
2. Asterisk and what role it plays.
3. Why we care:  what does it take to do VoIP well?
    a. HW and SW Resources (Asterisk)
    b. ISPs, links, bandwidth, QoS
    c. Firewall (and NAT) issues and implications
    d. Power over Ethernet
    e. VLANS
    f. Cabling
    g. Troubleshooting, and unique things
