----- Original Message ----- From: Casey Bralla > Paraphrasing Casey; I want to violate my companies rules and possibly also break the law. ----- Original Message ----- Why this is a bad idea; let me count the ways. It's not your network Casey; sorry to be a kill joy. Yes I'm sorry to say outgoing traffic counts to. You need to respect your employers wishes with regard to THEIR NETWORK or you mite find yourself terminated and being interviewed by the police. Most IT crimes start out as a felony, just FYI. Next posting this question to a public list doesn't make me want to exactly hire you. An employer hires you placing their trust and confidence in you and what do you do to pay them back; try and circumvent their rules which are no doubt there for a reason. Even if that reason is just because. Respect their wishes; they provide you with employment. As far as the comments on this list I'm really shocked. I guess it's OK as long as it's not on your network. -------------------------------------------------- Brian Vagnoni PGP Digital Fingerprint F076 6EEE 06E5 BEEF EBBD BD36 F29E 850D FC32 3955 -------------------------------------------------- ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
