Hello, I am perhaps a little bit late, there is Imagination http://imagination.sourceforge.net/ too. It's young and under development but the version 1.5 allows to export images in vob, ogg, flv video formats. There are a lot of transitions available and finally it possible to add a backgound music. The next version will include a zoom, the Ken Burns effect and a text inclusion (Titles, subtitles): I'm working on the text rendering.
