Mplayer can PLAY streams, but it can't produce a LISTING of all streams 
available on Shoutcast or another service.

Tunapie seems to work, for Shoutcast and Icecast only.  It's available 
in the Debian repository.

You tell it what media player (e.g. mplayer) you want it to use to play 
the streams.

When I get a chance I may take a look at StreamRipStar (AKA stripper):
