I disagree. AVG Free is the only AV I used on my Windows box (though on a lot in the past I haven't used any and I've been fine). It does what I need without paying a ridiculous amount of money.
And I find AVG to be way faster than McAfee was, I just installed AVG
two or three months ago, after my McAfee ran out.

serious bloat and feature creep.
