I tried the sudoers route and it didn't work. I'm sure I did something wrong though. What would ya' need to see /etc/passwd I guess? /etc/sudoers?? Permissions on /sbin/ip /usr/sbin/openvpn??? His problem is that the client can only run openvpn as root (e.g. to create the tun device).
