Sean, What else have you tried? I went to a talk on cfengine and puppet at LISA '08, to see if it might be worth giving a go, but didn't get at all convinced. Your comment makes me think my decision was not unfounded. I'm always keeping my ear to the ground for a good management system over the in-house perl code that we're using now. Can you give any other churchill-esque reviews on any other systems? (ie, one sentence is plenty :-) Thanks, -Randall On Wed, Mar 03, 2010 at 10:20:01PM +0100, sean finney wrote: > On Wed, Mar 03, 2010 at 09:07:01AM -0500, Adam Zion wrote: > > Does anyone have experience configuring + using cfagent? > > to quote something churchill-esque: > > cfengine is the worst form of maintaining a large network of servers, > except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time. > > > sean > ___________________________________________________________________________ > Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org > Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce > General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
