[PLUG] 802.11g and 802.11n cards and Linux

I'm considering a new laptop and I wanted to get some opinions on wireless cards. Does anyone have any experience with an 802.11n network? Are they worth implementing over the old g networks? And if so, how is Linux support for these cards at this point?
