I use 99% RSU's, so I can't help you there. The above mentioned site has some info. There are Intel Wimax Linux drivers out there. Don't want to defend Clear here, but shouldn't that question should go to the modem manufactures, like Motorola(not my favorite by any means).
Perhaps Verizon and their equipment manufacturers will be more forth coming when LTE happens 11/15/2010 in some 30 markets around the U.S, including here in Philadelphia.
