Does anyone know of a way to recover a linode that won't boot due to a now bad kernel?

Why not just use Lish and boot the older kernel, and/or edit grub settings?

"Microsoft Tax" = the additional hardware & yearly fees for the add-on
software required to protect Windows from its own poorly designed and
implemented self, while the overhead incidentally flattens Moore's Law.
