It looks like the internal USB port comes standard. It also looks like
that sd card slot is some sort of SD->Sata connector, I'd bet a
driverless/hardware sort of affair.
In that light, the SD option would probably be easier for commercial
linux distros to deal with as a root device since it should appear as
a standard sdx.
