Re: [PLUG] Command-Line Tools You've Never Heard Of

There was no Powerpoint presentation but here's a partial list commands:

jot - BSD
seq - Linux
sudo tee - to append to a file w/out permission
strings
tr
fmt
fold
look - for words in dict that match string prefix
lsof
script - record terminal session to file
netstat
sockstat
open - open file with appropriate app
whereis - search for file and show path
pv - monitor progress of stdout
lftp

A Rosetta Stone to translate commands between Unix-like OS:

Chris

Hello,

(new to the group)
I wasn't able to make the Monday meeting.
Is there any documentation available for "Command-Line Tools You've Never Heard Of"?

Regards,
Tom
