Not to endorse Dell, but just about every Dell desktop I've still seen has
a socket on the motherboard for PS/2 and serial.  You just have to buy the
adapter, which is basically just a cable to ports fitted into an expansion
port cover.

I"m not sure if that's standard on motherboards or not.  On the Dells, it
is labelled PS2SER and is a 24 (2x12) pin socket, without pin # 12 (blank 
space).
