[PLUG] ASCII writer?

Does anybody know of a program that outputs letters in ASCII art?

For example, if I input TEST I want something like this:

TTTTTTTTT EEEEEEEEE SSSSSS TTTTTTTTT
   TT EE SS SS TT
   TT EE SS TT
   TT EEEEEE SSSS TT
   TT EE SS TT
   TT EE SS SS TT
   TT EEEEEEEEE SSSSSS TT

I know it's been done in the past - those old print job banner pages for
example. I just cannot find a perl/python/ruby/whatever version and don't have
time to write one myself. At least not THIS month!
