it comes with one year of hardware and software support, and 90 days of
phone support. Applecare can be purchased, which will add 2 more years
of support.

Amazon periodically sells applecare more cheaply than Apple does, and you
don't have to buy it until the end of the first year, so if you want to
save money on it, just wait till Amazon cuts prices.
